The Real Island Volunteer Fire Department, (RIVFD), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

RIVFD does not sponsor activities that are not fundraising or any activity that would jeopardize its status as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501© (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

RIVFD does not endorse or oppose any candidate for public office and does not intervene in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate or political party. 

Certain activities are allowed on the premises of the RIVFD for the benefit of third parties not connected to RIVFD. These third-party activities are not sponsored or endorsed by RIVFD. In the case of third party’s licensee use of RIVFD premises they do so at their own expense and risk in accordance with the rules and regulations agreement entered into by said third parties and any expense/cost associated with said activities paid to RIVFD is considered a donation only.
